Susan Anderson

Susan Anderson

Ms. Anderson is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cannonball Capital Inc., which is an active investor in venture companies, private and public equities as well as commercial real estate.

After practicing corporate and commercial law for ten years, she and a co-founder started DirectCash Payments Inc., a publicly traded financial services company in 1997. DirectCash Payments grew organically and through acquisition to be the second largest ATM company in the world until its sale to Cardtronics in January 2017.

Susan co- founded DC Bank, a Schedule 1 chartered financial institution and is the Chairman of the Board. Susan is on the President’s Council at the University of Alberta and is a director of Revalesio Corporation. In 2010, Susan received an Alumni Honour Award from the University of Alberta. Ms. Anderson was also honoured as one of the “most powerful women” in Canada by the Women’s Executive Network in 2010.

She was the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Prairies Region) award in 2005. Ms. Anderson graduated with distinction with a commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1984 and in 1988 obtained a law degree from the University of Alberta.

Liam Gallacher

Liam Gallacher

Liam Gallacher is currently the President of the Lace'em Up Foundation for Kids and VP Business Development at Cannonball Capital.

Previously, Liam was business analyst at Fraction Energy Services Ltd., an energy services start up that sold to Canyon Services Group in 2014.

Prior to working at Fraction, Liam worked as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley and Raymond James.

He graduated from Concordia in 2009, earning a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Finance.

Liam has always been interested in sports having played organized hockey and volleyball growing up and now is an avid golfer. Mr. Gallacher is committed to helping his community and looks forward to growing the Lace'Em Up Foundation.

Jeffery J Smith

Jeffery J Smith

Mr. Smith is a co-founder of DCBank and is the President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Smith is an entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience in operating, financing, growing and managing large scale international financial services businesses.

Previously, Mr. Smith was the President, Chief Executive Officer, Director and co-founder of DirectCash Payments Inc., a publicly traded financial services company with operations in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Mexico.

Mr. Smith has extensive experience in business valuation and the public equity and debt capital markets. Mr. Smith has sourced, negotiated, financed and integrated numerous acquisitions in Canada and internationally.

In 2013, Mr. Smith was honoured as Industry Person of the Year – Prepaid & Payments by Payments eXchange, and in 2005, he was the recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Prairies Region).

Hayley Wickenheiser

Hayley Wickenheiser was a member of the Canadian National Women's Hockey Team for 23 years. She is the proud owner of 4 Olympic gold medals and innumerable World and National Championships.

Hayley joined with Lace 'Em Up Foundation because of her deep-rooted belief that sport, and particularly hockey builds character in kids that serves them throughout childhood and into adulthood.

Hayley can be seen working with Lace 'Em Up in various hands on ventures engaging kids in sport and ensuring that all kids have the opportunity to play.

Ekaterina Petrovitch

Ekaterina Petrovitch

VP Community Outreach

Ekaterina Petrovitch is currently a medical student at the University of Calgary graduating in 2018.

She obtained her commerce degree with a major in Finance at McGill University.

Previously, Ekaterina worked as an investment-banking analyst for Morgan Stanley.

Ekaterina enjoys playing tennis and working out in her free time. She is very involved in community programs in Calgary.

Ben Gallacher

Ben Gallacher


Ben Gallacher is currently the President and CEO of Performance Phenomics Inc.

Ben graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Mass. from the Isenberg School of Management.

Ben played hockey for UMass in the Hockey East Division of the NCAA and was a member of the Hockey East All-Academic team in 2013/2014 and 2014/2015.

Ben was drafted in the 2010 NHL draft by the Florida Panthers in the fourth round 93rd overall.
